Renowned Saudi Imam and Islamic scholar Sheikh Assim al-Hakeem will be in Maldives for eight days, where he will be delivering sermons in various cities across the country.
The Sheikh's visit was organized by The Traveller, with authorization granted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
One of the founders of The Traveller, Ahmed Najaah, told Mihaaru News that Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem will be speaking in five cities. Trips to the cities were organized by the respective city councils.
Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem is scheduled to arrive in Maldives on April 27, with the first sermon to be delivered at 8:30pm on April 28 in Kulhudhuffushi.
Cities where Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem will deliver sermons:
- HDh. Kulhudhuffushi, April 28
- Male', April 29
- Addu, April 30
- Fuvahmulah, May 1
- GDh. Thinadhoo, May 2
After each sermon, the Sheikh will dedicate 15 minutes to answer questions posed from the audience.
