Deputy Controller of Maldives Immigration, Ahmed Ashfan, has been transferred to the post of Deputy Minister at the Youth and Sports Ministry.
Ashfan, who was appointed to his role at Immigration on April 4, 2024, was presented with a service recognition by the agency today.
He served as an immigration officer for 19 years.
He is the brother of former national team captain Ali Ashfaq (Dhagandey).
Ashfan has also previously represented the national team and played for several clubs.
