Police said that they received reports of a case this afternoon where, in a northern island, an 8 year old girl had been tied to a tree, inflicting physical and mental harm and loss of dignity. 

Police stated that they are undertaking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the child, and to complete investigations into the case in collaboration with relevant institutions.
