Fenaka Corporation's Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Arif resigned today.

Amidst the changes President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has begun making following the poor results received by the government in the three elections held last Saturday, Fenaka DMD Arif resigned suddenly, while two other senior officials of the company were dismissed from their posts today. They are Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Mohamed Jihadh and Chief Resources Officer Abdulla Sanoon.

A senior official of the company confirmed that the senior executives were dismissed from their posts today. However, no reason was given.

Fenaka's Managing Director Mohamed Najah was also dismissed from his post yesterday. Additionally, the Managing Director of MPL, Mohamed Rishwan, also resigned last night at the request of President Muizzu.

Furthermore, the Managing Director of AgroNet Hussain Didi, the Deputy Managing Director of MWSC Ibrahim Shahid, the Maldivian Ambassador to the UAE Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundhu), and the Permanent Representative of the Maldives in Geneva Dr. Salma Rasheed were also dismissed from their posts yesterday.

Mundhu is the son of the PNC Member of Parliament for the Maafannu Central constituency, Asma Rasheed. Salma is Asma’s younger sister.

Although the government has not officially revealed the reason for the measures taken against these two individuals, an audio recording was recently leaked on social media in which Asma was allegedly speaking to someone requesting them not to vote for the PNC.
