Villa gas prices are to be raised from Thursday onwards. 

The company's decision was driven by global fuel market pressures linked to the ongoing war in the Middle East. 

It has been reported that the price hike will come into effect from Thursday onwards. The price of the most frequently purchased 10kg cylinders, currently at MVR 200, will be increased to MVR 350. 

Villa Gas sells 4kg, 10kg, 20kg, and 45kg cylinders. 

War in the Middle East has disrupted fuel transport and raised prices on the global market. With shortages, Maldives also previously limited sales of gas cylinders. 

In early March, 5kg gas cylinders were sold in the place of 10kg cylinders by Maldive Gas. However, the issue was resolved after a new shipment was brought in.
