President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended his condolences to the family of Ahmed Adam (Petrel Ahmedbe) due to his passing. Ahmed Adam was an individual who worked in the food and beverage service for more than five decades.

After the inception of Guraabuthundi Hotel 55 years ago, a popular hotel in Male', he opened Petrel Hotel, a place that garnered the trust of many.

He has also provided services in food and beverage in the catering industry for a long time, especially for major government agencies.

President Muizzu took to X and stated that along with offering food and beverage services, he highlighted Ahmed Adam's contributions and services towards the growth of Machangoalhi.

The President also said that Ahmed Adam also had a hand in aiding the sports industry, offering his help to Club Lagoons and Victory Sports Club.

"He was a kindhearted, good-natured person. An example of a personality who was experienced in activism and social services," said the President.

"I pray that, through the mercy of God, Ahmed Adam is eternally blessed by heaven."
