Housing Development Cooperation (HDC)'s chairman Fuad Qasim was dismissed from his post on Wednesday.
According to Privatization Board’s president Mohamed Nizar, a new chairman will be appointed very soon.
Fuad had taken office on March 3, 2016, succeeding the previous HDC chair Mohamed Aseel.
Fuad, who had initially been in a senior rank in opposition Jumhoory Party (JP), had later shifted to ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM). In addition to HDC’s chairman, he had also filled the post of fisheries minister and state minister for the health ministry.
