A special ferry service has been arranged to help farmers in Haa Dhaalu Vaikaradhoo transport their produce to the market in Kulhudhuffushi.

During his visit to the atoll, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu assured Vaikaradhoo farmers that a dedicated ferry would be set up to carry their agricultural products.

The Ministry of Agriculture has appointed personnel to operate the ferry every Saturday, ensuring a regular connection between Vaikaradhoo and Kulhudhuffushi.

The ministry said the service will make it easier for farmers to deliver produce, boosting both the local economy and farmers’ incomes

It also reaffirmed its commitment to creating more opportunities to link farmers with markets, aiming to secure fair profits for agricultural producers across the Maldives.
