A search has been launched for two young women who submitted a fraudulent payment slip for products purchased from Note's New Edition, with a total value exceeding MVR 8,700.

As per a social media post from New Edition, the two women provided a fake payment slip for products from their store worth MVR 8,788.29.

The social media post also includes CCTV footage of the two women inside the store.

One of the women in the CCTV footage is shown wearing a white t-shirt and black jeans, a black hijab  and a mask that covers her face while only revealing her eyes.

She was seen trying to cover her face by holding onto her hijab while she was in the store.

The other woman in the CCTV footage was not wearing a hijab, and was wearing a red long sleeve top and a black pair of jeans.

The payment for the products were made by the woman wearing the hijab. All of the products were put into three bags, with all three being carried out of the store by the woman who was not wearing the hijab.

New Edition has requested a public effort in finding the two women. They also stated that they will offer a reward to whoever finds them.

Attempts to reach New Edition and the police have been unsuccessful regarding the matter.
