75 students from Ahmadhiyya International School have ranked in the National Top Ten of last year's A Level examination.
300 students from the school took part in the examination.
Ahmadhiyya International School principal Mohamed Rasheed told Mihaaru News today that of the students that did place in the Top Ten, 28 of them are eligible for the High Achievers Scholarship.
As none of their students had placed 1st, none were eligible for the President's Scholarship.
Rankings and number of students in the Top Ten:
- 2nd Place: One student
- 3rd Place: Six students
- 4th Place: Eight students
- 5th Place: Seven students
- 6th Place: 12 students
- 7th Place: Six students
- 8th Place: 10 students
- 9th Place: 16 students
- 10th Place: Nine students
Principal Rasheed said that 96 percent of the students who took part in last year's A Level examination scored high enough to enroll into universities.
According to him, the secret of that result is the teachers at the school and the tenacity of the students.
47 students from Ahmadhiyya received the High Achievers Award by scoring an A Grade in five subjects from the 2024 A Level examinations, with four students placing 1st in the Top Ten.
Ahmadhiyya School opened up applications for A Levels yesterday, with the deadline set for the end of May.
