Police have announced they are searching for a motorcyclist who fled after hitting a pedestrian on a zebra crossing.
The incident occurred on Majeedhee Magu, in front of the building which previously housed the Media Council.
A video shared by the Police shows the motorcycle hit a pedestrian walking across a zebra crossing, after which the motorcyclist rides away without stopping to help despite the pedestrian falling over.
Police also released CCTV footage showing the suspect driving around various areas of Male'.
Police said that they are seeking to identify the man for an investigation being conducted by the Male' Traffic Investigation department.
They urged the public to share any information about the man or the accident, and asked eyewitnesses to come forward. Anyone with details is asked to call the Traffic Investigation Department on 9444880.
