The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has taken on the task of overseeing the flats in Hulhumale' Phase 1.
As per HDC's announcement which was released today, they had signed an agreement with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure on Tuesday, where HDC was awarded with the repair and maintenance of the 704 flats in Hulhumale' Phase 1.
The flats in Hulhumale' Phase 1, which are under the Social Housing schemes, were previously the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure's responsibility.
As per the agreement, HDC has stated that the work to repair the flats are currently underway.
HDC's announcement reads, "We are publicly announcing our search for companies to work with our corporation in solving the maintenance issues faced by the 704 flats from today onward."
While HDC has been tasked with this project, the Hiyaa and Vinares flats in Hulhumale' Phase 2 are also the responsibility of HDC.
