Laamu Gan Council has announced for the development of an information centre in Gan Bodufengandu area.

The council had initially announced the project in December last year but later cancelled it. A new announcement was issued today, inviting interested parties to submit their bids.

Interested parties must purchase bid documents before 12:00 pm next Thursday in order to take part. A non-refundable fee of MVR 500 is required.

The council said late submissions will not be accepted.

The information centre is intended to serve as a one-stop facility providing information and support services, particularly in areas such as IT and digital services.

Similar centres have been established elsewhere in the Maldives, including in Fuvahmulah, where they function as digital development hubs and technology incubators.

Bodufengandu in Gan is a popular site for both residents and visitors, who visit the area for photos and swimming.
