The National Awards Committee has opened nominations for this year’s National Awards following the publication of criteria and guidelines in the Government Gazette.
In a statement, the committee said applications will be accepted from today until 2 pm on Thursday, 30 April.
All nominations must be submitted the President’s Office application portal, with the committee urging applicants to ensure all required documents are included.
Submissions are open to individuals, companies, associations and other entities, which may nominate themselves or others without the need to go through a government agency. Government bodies and independent institutions are also eligible to apply.
Applications will be accepted across 39 primary categories.
For individual nominees, only contributions made after the age of 18 will be considered.
The awards are presented under two distinctions:
- National Award of Honour
- National Award of Recognition
Recipients will be announced and honoured at the official National Day ceremony.
