Mushrif Ali, who is contesting for the Mayor post of Addu on the PNC ticket, has stated that he will provide a permanent and complete solution to the long-standing issues faced by the people living in the flats built by the government in Addu Hithadhoo.
The mayoral candidate of the ruling party, Mushrif, stated that while a large number of people reside in the Hithadhoo flat area, it is a place where many issues occur repeatedly. He mentioned that since he also resides in that area, he fully understands the feelings of the people in the Hithadhoo flats.
Mushrif specifically highlighted the issues of water leakage from the flats, the lack of clean water, and the difficulties faced due to flooding across the entire area during rainy seasons.
In a video he released, he also stated that because the flats were built in an area close to the sea, salt spray has affected them, causing extensive damage to the expensive property of the public.
"There is no place in this area for the residents living here to go with their children and spend some time for enjoyment. Previously, there was a park here. However, even that place today is in need of a major renovation," Mushrif said.
"It is noted that trees are very scarce in this large flat area. Everyone agrees that making this place green is, in reality, a very important thing."
According to Mushrif, if he and 'The Greater Addu' team are elected in the local council elections to be held on the fourth of April, they will solve these issues by giving them special attention.
"In addition, I will make this place a pleasant and satisfying place for the residents living here," Mushrif said.
He stated that the flats in all districts of Addu are in a similar condition. He said these places reached this state due to many years of neglect and that his hope is to find a complete solution to the issues faced in all the flats in Addu.
