Maldives Customs Service has stated that they intercepted and seized 11kg of drugs which were being smuggled into the country via air travel.
Customs said that they seized 5,370g of cannabis and 6,590g of hash oil at the Velana International Airport.
The estimated street price of the seized drugs cross MVR 9.6 million, according to Customs.
Authorities are yet to release the identities of those involved, or any further details regarding the case.
