Police have appealed for public assistance in identifying the body found in Hithadhoo, Addu's swimming track earlier today.
Police received reports of the body being found at 4:41pm today.
On receiving the report, Police had attended the scene, retrieved the body, and transferred it to the Addu Equatorial Hospital.
Police said that the deceased is a white male, of unknown origin. Police have as yet been unable to identify him.
Police are urging anyone with information, or awareness of a missing white foreigner in the area, to contact the Hithadhoo Police Station on 9791612.
