The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that Tahajjud prayers will be hosted in 35 mosques in the Male' area during the last ten days of Ramadan.
In an announcement released today, the Ministry said that this includes 21 mosques in Male', 3 mosques in Vilimale', 6 mosques in Hulhumale' Phase 1 and 5 mosques in Hulhumale' Phase 2.
In Male', Tahajjud prayers will be at:
- Islamic Centre
- Masjidul Maliki Salman
- Traders' Mosque
- Masjid Al Furqan
- Masjid Al Noor
- Masjid Al Shaheed Ali
- Thoiba Mosque
- 'Dhun'buri' Mosque
- 'Fan'diyaaru' Mosque
- Bandaara Mosque
- Majid Al Salahudheen
- Masjid Al Jalaaludeen
- Masjid Ibrahim
- Masjid Iskandhar
- Masjid Yusuf Al Barbari
- 'Ran' Mosque
- 'Faifuhey' Mosque
- Maaveyo Mosque
- Masjid Afeefudeen
- Maafannu New Mosque
- Masjid Al Zikra
In Vilimale', Tahajjud prayers will be at:
- Masjid Al Birri
- Masjid Al Salam
- Masjid Al Ikhlaas
In Hulhumale', Tahajjud prayers will be at:
- Round dome mosque
- Majid Rasheed
- Masjid Azeeza Moosa
- Masjid Al Waalidhaini
- Masjid Muhammadh
- Masjid Al Asdhiqa
- Masjid Hassan Adam
- Masjid Al Imaan
- Masjid Ameel Jaleel
- Masjid Abu Bakr Al Sideeq
- Masjid Usman bin Affan
The ministry also announced the mosques where itikaaf will be practised in the Male' area during the last ten days of Ramadan. This includes 16 mosques in Male', 1 mosque in Vilimale', and 8 mosques in Hulhumale'.
