The government has established a dedicated hotline for Maldivian Umrah pilgrims in light of escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs said the hotline +960 3007070 has been set up for Maldivians who have travelled to Mecca for Umrah, to be used in the event of any incident linked to the regional conflict.

The ministry urged Maldivians currently in Mecca, as well as those travelling for Umrah, to immediately call the number if they encounter any special circumstances.

It also advised pilgrims to notify the Maldivian embassy in Saudi Arabia of any situation arising from the conflict following US and Israeli attacks on Iran.

Pilgrims have been urged to closely follow the latest updates on Umrah travel and comply with instructions and notices issued by Saudi authorities and relevant officials.

In case of any emergency related to the conflict, the ministry asked pilgrims to contact:

  • Maldivian Embassy in Riyadh: +966 55 068 9447
  • Maldivian Consulate in Jeddah: +966 53 083 8329
