The new mosque constructed in ADh. Maamigili by renowned businessman and Maamigili MP Gasim Ibrahim has been officially opened today.
The mosque, built in memory of Gasim's father, was inaugurated by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.

Gasim is a philanthropist known to have helped thousands of people over the years. This mosque developed by him is called Masjid Ibrahim, after his father.
The mosque has an 800-person capacity. It has separate air-conditioned facilities for men and women, as well as dedicated ablution areas.

The Islamic Ministry has said that 15 new mosques have been opened for this Ramadan, including those built by the government and by private parties.
