President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu stated last night that ruling party PNC is the most accustomed to the decentralization system.

During last night's PNC tarawih dinner at Artificial Beach, he said that the government does not hold political opinions when moving forward with their plans.

The President said that they work to serve the state and to ensure all citizens are equal and treated fairly.

President Muizzu also said that ATMs and ID card/passport services were established at every island to enforce local governance.

Providing oil to all atoll's at STO's rate and building a fitness recreation center and waste management center at every island is to establish a truly decentralized system and to make everyone equal, said the President.

"We are enforcing a decentralized system in its truest sense, by this government. I would like to proudly highlight that. Today is Decentralization Day. We proudly mark this day due to our practical implementations and the results therein," said President Muizzu.

According to the President, he has been traveling to the islands and meeting with the councils, with him doing what was requested of him.

"PNC is the party that is the most familiar with, completely believes in and that wholly enforces the decentralization system. And so, the vote should be given to PNC," stated the President.

Last night, President Muizzu said that there are many ongoing projects within other islands but that there are difficulties being faced in honoring the government's pledges due to 57 island councils.

His Excellency went on to say that the projects are being delayed due to the island councils having a difference of opinion with the government and going against the state so as not to hand over plots.

President Muizzu stated that the work to fulfill pledges is done sincerely, with him requesting PNC candidates be elected in the upcoming Local Council Election so that those projects can move forward post haste.
