The project to pour asphalt on additional roads at GDh. Thinadhoo City has been awarded to the Road Development Corporation (RDC) today for MVR 341 million.
The signing ceremony was held at the Housing Ministry, with the agreement for the third stage in the repairing of Thinadhoo City's roads being signed by Housing Minister Dr. Abdulla Muththalib and RDC Managing Director Ibrahim Nazeem.
Under the agreement, 50 roads totaling 19.3 kilometers will have asphalt laid. Along with that:
- Water drainage system to combat flooding to be established
- Sign boards will be put up
- Pavements will be laid out
The project to repair Thinadhoo's roads was given under the condition it be completed within four years.
North Thinadhoo MP Saudulla Hilmy and South Thinadhoo MP Mohamed Alsan Ahmed attended the signing ceremony.
