In Police's traffic operation 'Fahi Raasthaa' in the Male' region yesterday, Police presented gifts to drivers whose vehicles fully complied with the regulations. 

Police's Traffic and Road Management Department said in a social media post that 62 vehicles had been checked yesterday in the special Ramadan traffic operation Fahi Raasthaa. They did not disclose how many of these vehicles were in violation of traffic regulations.

Police said that drivers of vehicles which complied with the regulations were presented gifts from the 'Rakkaa Partner' (Safety Partner). 

As Male' roads see heavy traffic congestion during Ramadan, Police conduct special traffic operations every year. Under these efforts, Police are also towing unused vehicles left on Male' streets, as well as illegally parked vehicles.
