Those who are unfamiliar with paying Zakat online can physically do so at the Islamic Center, with payments in cash and via cash card being accepted.
As per the Maldives Zakat House's website, counters have been set up at the conference hall of the Islamic Center, where Zakat is accepted in cash and via cash card.
Times the counters are open
- 22nd February to 9th March: Open every day except public holidays from 10:00am to 1:00pm
- 10th March to 19th March: Open every day except Friday and Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm

According to the Zakat House, those at other islands who are not familiar with making Zakat payments online can do so at their respective island council offices. The Zakat House also said that councils will only accept cash and grains as Zakat payments via the Fitr Portal which was introduced by the Islamic Ministry.
Upon Zakat payments with cash being made to councils or at the Islamic Center, certified employees will record the information in the Fitr Portal, said the Zakat House.
The Zakat House went on to say that once the payment is made, an SMS will be sent to the phones of those who paid as payment assurance, with a separate text being sent if charitable (sadaqah) payments are made.
On the first day of Ramadan, the Zakat House had made arrangements for Zakat to be accepted on seven different platforms.
