MPL has begun supplying water and electricity to the marine vessels that dock near the Male' Local Market area.
As per a Facebook post from MPL last night, the vessels that carry goods and transport passengers that were docking temporarily at the MMA area and the Hulhumale' fuel jetty due the Boduthakurufaanu Magu project have now begun docking near the newly opened road once more.
MPL stated that water and electricity was not available previously to the vessels that dock around the North Harbor's A Zone or the breakwater next to Boduthakurufaanu Magu. However, the company said that they are working on handling said provisions.
According to MPL, when the North Harbor reopened for service, the most noticeable change was the replacement of damaged docking cleats with 36 completely new ones.

The company said that this will allow for safer docking.
MPL went on to say that vessels will be moved to the North Harbor's B Zone or the western breakwater, in the coming week.
Boduthakurufaanu Magu was reopened to the public about four days before Ramadan began after it was expanded outwards into the lagoon, with asphalt subsequently having been poured onto the road.
The North Harbor area was reopened for vessels that carry goods, transport passengers and fishing vessels last Thursday.
As the area around the Local Market and Fish Market experience the highest levels of traffic congestion in Male', with the expansion of Boduthakurufaanu Magu, the matter of congestion which has been an issue for years has now been solved.
