A fire broke out last night in an apartment in One Avenue, Hulhumale', causing extensive damage.
In a post on X, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) stated that a fire at an apartment on the seventh floor of One Avenue had caused serious damage to its kitchen.
Photos shared by NDMA show that the stove, hood and kitchen cupboards of the flat were burnt beyond use.
NDMA stated that it has extended food and temporary shelter to the family residing in the affected flat.
