President Muizzu begins door-to-door campaign for PNC

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has begun a door-to-door campaign to rally support for candidates of the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) ahead of the local council elections scheduled for 4 April.

In his capacity as party leader, President Muizzu visited households in the Maafannu West constituency this afternoon, meeting residents alongside cabinet ministers, senior PNC figures, parliamentary members and party candidates.

Among those campaigning with the President was Moosa Ali Jaleel, who is contesting the Malé mayoral seat on the PNC ticket.

PNC officials said the President will continue visiting neighborhoods across Male' City in the coming days to canvass support for the party’s candidates.

During the last parliamentary elections, President Muizzu undertook similar door-to-door campaigning on behalf of then-PPM candidates, with the party securing a supermajority.

PNC campaign manager Ibrahim Falah has said the party expects to win at least 800 seats in the upcoming local council and Women’s Development Committee elections.
