The first outdoor gym developed by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) in Hulhumale' Phase 2 was opened to the public yesterday.
The facility, located near the red Hiyaa flat towers, features 22 types of exercise equipment.
The gym was inaugurated by HDC Managing Director Ali Zuhair at a ceremony held last evening.
HDC described the project as a key initiative to promote healthier lifestyles among residents of Hulhumale'.
In line with the National Fitness Plan, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has pledged to establish outdoor gyms on islands across the Maldives.
HDC said it intends to continue similar initiatives aimed at fostering a healthier and more active community.
