Police have called for the removal of old vehicles parked near mosques in Hulhumale', citing congestion and access concerns.

In a statement issued today, police said vehicles that have been left parked for extended periods near mosque premises should be cleared to make the area more convenient and to ease parking for worshippers.

Owners have been urged to remove cars and motorcycles that have remained parked for many days.

Several empty plots adjacent to mosques are currently being used to park vehicles, including older and unused cars and motorcycles.

The issue becomes more acute during Ramadan, when mosques experience increased attendance. Parking spaces are often difficult to find, and prayer lines frequently extend outside once capacity is reached.
