Ministry of Islamic Affairs has requested authorities to conduct an investigation into a TikTok account by a local individual which is posting content disrespectful to Islam.
In the ministry's media group, Islamic Minister Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed said that in the video, the man claimed that he gets direct communication from God, and makes statements disrespectful to the Prophet. Hence, the ministry has, last Tuesday, officially requested authorities to take action against the individual, he said.
The account has posted videos where he claims that Allah speaks to him, and not Prophet Muhammad alone. He also claims he is Prophet Yoosuf. Several videos of the kind have been uploaded to the platform.
