In a tragic accident yesterday, a man who had been under a raised pickup truck attempting to repair it died after the truck collapsed on him.
The man who passed away in the incident that occurred near Hulhumale' Cemetery yesterday has been identified as Mohamed Manik, 60, of Meadows, S. Hithadhoo.
The man was rushed to Hulhumale Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries soon after.
Police said that they received reports of the incident at around 11:05am yesterday. Police are now investigating the incident.
