MVR 29 mn worth of hash oil seized at Male' Harbor

Customs has seized MVR 29 million worth of hash oil that was being smuggled into Maldives by sea.

Customs posted on X today, stating goods that were being brought in internationally to Maldives to the commercial harbor on Thursday were suspected to be drugs.

The first round of tests showed that it was positive for hash oil, said Customs.

As per the picture that was shared by Customs, the oil was sealed in rubber packets.

Customs also stated that the drugs that were seized have been handed over to the police for further investigation into the matter.
