President meets members of the Maldivian diaspora in Germany

During the ongoing official visit to Germany, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has held a meeting with Maldivians residing in Germany. 

Members of the Maldivian diaspora in Germany were granted the opportunity to share their concerns and thoughts directly with the President privately. 

During the meeting, President Muizzu stated that it is important to him that he meet Maldivians residing in every country he visits on official travel, the President's Office website states. 

President Muizzu also attended an official reception held in Berlin last night to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Maldives and Germany. 

Also attending the ceremony were the Maldives delegation who travelled alongside the President, senior officials of the German government, members of the diplomatic corps in Berlin, and Maldivians residing in Germany, the President's Office stated. 

The ceremony featured a lucky draw, with winners being awarded resort and guesthouse stays in the Maldives.
