Many Maldivian students have ranked first in the world in O Level English in the May/June 2025 O Level examinations, with schools across the country celebrating the achievements this week.
The Cambridge O Level results were released on 19 August 2025, and students from Male' and several atolls achieved outstanding results, particularly in English. Schools have begun formally announcing and congratulating students who secured world first positions, with a significant number topping English globally.
