Ramadan hours: Cafe's open till 3am, shops till 1am

Economic Ministry has announced the permitted operation hours for shops, cafe's and restaurants during the upcoming month of Ramadan. 

The ministry stated that food outlets can operate from 5pm to 3am. After Ramadan, in the first seven days of Shawwal, food outlets can operate from 4:30am to 3am. 

From tomorrow onwards, shops and stores can operate from 5:30 am to 1am. These same hours are permitted through out Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal. 

The same hours apply to food outlets which have been granted 24-hour operation permits. 

As per the calendar, first of Ramadan falls on February 18 this year.
