Concerns have been raised about delays in receiving certificates for completed courses from the Hulhumale' Branch of the Centre for Holy Quran. 

The centre, located on a first floor unit of Hulhumale' Commercial Block E, conducts various courses from Qira'ath Level 1 upwards. 

A student who completed the Qira'ath Level 2 course at the centre spoke to Mihaaru News about their concerns. They said that 28 students had participated in the course last September. Despite five months having passed since the course was completed, they are yet to receive the certificates. 

According to the student, only three students in the class have received their certificates to date. 

"Without having the certificate, we cannot apply for another course, centre, or even IUM. So we are at a loss as to what we can do," they said. 

The student also shared that students who completed a Qira'at Level 1 course in December have also complained about not receiving their certificates. 

"Facing delays, the students go to the centre to enquire about their certificates. They still don't receive it. MQA says that the Hulhumale' Centre hasn't sent any certificates," the student explained. 

An official working in the Centre's academy confirmed that there have been delays in issuing certificates for completed courses. 

They did not disclose the reasons for the delay, but said that they have applied for authorization from MQA for a large number of certificates. The certificates will be issued promptly once they are received, they said.
