Expat missing from Thilafushi found dead

The expatriate reported missing from a work site in K. Thilafushi has been found deceased.

The man has been identified as Ameen Mia, 24, from Bangladesh. 

Police said that they received reports yesterday of an expatriate being missing since Monday. 

Police announced last night that the man had been found dead.

They stated that investigations so far had confirmed that Ameen Mia had died on January 26.

They did not disclose where he was found, or whether there are any indications of foul play, stating instead that further details will be released as the investigation proceeds.
