The Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) has, effective from today, reduced the registration and category fees charged to food service establishments by 50 percent.

The authority stated that it has decided to lower these fees under the transitional policy followed for the registration and licensing of food service establishments and individuals.

According to the MFDA, both the registration fee and the category fee charged by the authority for registering these establishments have now been reduced by 50 percent.

The MFDA noted that this price adjustment is effective from today and will remain in place for a duration of two years.
