Man thought missing in Fuvahmulah working in Thilafushi

The man reported missing for months by family in Fuvahmulah has contacted authorities, confirming that he is safe and working in Thilafushi. 

Police announced yesterday that they have launched a search for Abdul Azeez Mohamed, 64, of Fuvahmulah, who was reported missing by family. 

According to Police, Azeez works on supply boats. His family last heard from him on September 3 last year. However, a member of his family reported having seen him near IGMH in Male' in November last year, Police said. 

"Abdul Azeez Mohamed has now contacted both his family and the Fuvahmulah Police Station and informed that he is in Thilafushi and is in good health," Police said in a message sent to media. 

Police said yesterday that with the missing persons report being lodged, all relevant departments had been notified and police had commenced a search for him. However, the investigation had not had any leads as of then.
