Reclamation of Hulhumale' Phase 3 has now been completed. 

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu announced the completion of the project at a campaign event of ruling People's National Congress (PNC). 

As land plots were allocated under the previous President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih administration's Binveriya housing scheme, lots were drawn for 698 land plots in Hulhumale' Phase 2 and Hulhumale' Phase 3 recently. 

This administration, too, announced that 1,351 land plots will be issued from Hulhumale' Phase 3. 

President Muizzu announced that reclamation of Giraavaru Falhu, from which land plots were also issued under the Binveriya scheme, would commence soon. He stated that two dredgers have now been made ready for the work. Hence, land plots from Giraavaru Falhu can also be handed over soon, he said. 

The government is also preparing to commence reclamation of Uthuru Thila Falhu, and work on Fushidhiggaru Falhu (Rasmale') will also go forward swifty, the President said. 

The President estimates that reclamation of Fushidhiggaru Falhu will be completed by April this year. By then, the list of land recipients for Fushidhiggaru Falhu will also be finalized, he said. 

In a bid to speed up reclamation efforts, the government has brought in Boskalis' Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger.
