Amaan Dhoadhi fire damages pipes, advised to not use water

Amaan Dhoadhi Tower 1, one of the Fahi Dhiriulhun flat towers that was recently occupied, had a fire incident earlier today, leaving water pipes in some flats damaged, Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has said.

Amaan Dhoadhi Tower 1, one of the Fahi Dhiriulhun flat towers that was recently occupied, had a fire incident earlier today, leaving water pipes in some flats damaged, Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has said. 

In a message sent to residents of Amaan Dhoadhi Tower 1 flats, FDC informed them of damage to the pipes. They also advised residents to refrain from using water and drainage in the attached bathrooms of all rooms except the master bedroom, and the utility area, until further notice. 

According to FDC, the fire originated in some trash kept on the ground floor of the tower. Officials stated that the exact cause of the blaze remains under investigation. 

Further, FDC stated that they are undertaking an inspection to gauge the damage caused to the building, and to conduct any necessary repairs. 

The message also reminded residents that it is prohibited to discard of trash in areas other than the designated zone.
