Male' City Council urges handover of old mushafs for disposal

Male' City Council has announced that old mushafs (Quran books), texts containing verses of the Quran or hadith, and other such religious books can now be handed over to their office for proper disposal. 

In an announcement issued yesterday, the Council stated that they have now made arrangements to accept old texts of this manner at Male' area households set aside for disposal.

Such books can be handed over between 9am and 12pm, and again between 1pm and 5pm on every day until January 29, the council said. 

The City Council stated that it will only accept old or damaged copies needing disposal taken by households.
