Former Chief Commissioner and Permanent Member of the Scout Association of Maldives, Mohamed Khalid, has passed away yesterday.

Mohamed Khalid dedicated more than 25 years to the Scout Movement, serving in various leadership and governance roles within the Scout Association of Maldives.

Throughout his long and distinguished service, he played a key role in the development of Scouting in the country and contributed extensively to the training and mentoring of Scout leaders.

He served in multiple capacities within the Scout Council before later assuming the role of Chief Commissioner. During his tenure, Mohamed Khalid took significant steps to strengthen the organization, enhance its governance, and elevate the standards of Scouting across Maldives.

In a statement, the Scout Association of Maldives said that his passing is a profound loss to the Maldivian Scouting community, noting his lifelong commitment, leadership, and dedication to youth development.

Mohamed Khalid is remembered for his service, integrity, and contributions to the Scout Movement in Maldives.
