The announcement specified that individuals wishing to contest on a Democrats ticket must submit their candidacy through the Elections Commission’s official portal and select the party's name, after which the party will provide its endorsement.

While the opportunity to contest on the party's ticket has been opened, many prominent members who were active in the party returned to join the MDP last year. Some of those members even participated in the MDP primary held recently.
