One missing from capsized boat found deceased

One of the two individuals that went missing from a capsized boat has been found deceased. 

The boat, 'Balma-6', capsized near Taj Exotica Resort in Kaafu atoll early this morning. While four people were on board at the time of the incident, two were rescued from sea by a passing boat and the other two were reported missing. 

MNDF promptly commenced a search for the two missing men: a Maldivian and a foreigner. 

Of the two, the Maldivian was found deceased. His identification has not been disclosed at this time. 

MNDF said that the body of the deceased man was discovered near Taj Exotica Resort. They have now handed over the body to the Maldives Police Service. 

MNDF are continuing the search for the foreigner, who still remains missing.
