Two missing after boat capsizes

Two people have been reported missing after a boat capsized near Taj Exotica Resort in Kaafu atoll. 

MNDF said that the "Balma-6" boat capsized this morning while four people were on board. Of these, two remain missing and MNDF are continuing the search for them. 

According to MNDF, the two individuals missing are a Maldivian and a foreigner. 

The other two people were rescued from sea by a passing boat, an MNDF media official said. 

A photo shared on X by MNDF shows that the capsized boat is now on the reef. 

Further details of the incident have not been disclosed yet. 

MNDF confirmed that officers are now at the scene working on recovering the capsized vessel and searching for the missing men.
