Missing goods worth MVR 2 million recovered

Goods worth MVR 2 million that were reported missing last month have been recovered, according to police statistics.

Male' Frontline Police said 113 cases of theft and seven cases of robbery were reported during the month.

Police said a significant number of stolen items were recovered, including 38 motorcycles valued at MVR 1.8 million, 18 mobile phones worth MVR 154,228, and electronic items valued at MVR 19,730.

There were also 40 cases of money theft, involving a total of MVR 416,320. Police said MVR 243,467 of the stolen cash has been recovered.

In addition, frontline police responded to 13 traffic accidents and 20 brawls last month.

Police said 5,023 individuals with criminal records were stopped and questioned, while 21,521 locations were checked as part of routine operations.
