IGMH announced yesterday that they are looking for a company to demolish the former Thalassemia Center in order to build a GP Clinic on the same plot.
IGMH's announcement stated that interested parties that meet the requirements can now submit their bids.
Bidding will be conducted on 15th January.
The three-story building on Majeedhee Magu in Henveiru which housed the Thalassemia Center began its services in 1994. The government awarded the project of building a thalassemia hospital in Hulhumale' Phase 2 to a company last year.
The government has begun establishing GP Clinics across Male' in order to shorten queues at IGMH. The first GP Clinic was opened last year and began serving people. It is located next to STO's Head Office.
IGMH has said previously that there will be three GP Clinics in Male' and two GP Clinics in Hulhumale'.
