Criminal Court has extended by 15 days the remand in custody of Mohamed Faseeh, the National Drugs Agency (NDA) peer mentor who was arrested for giving drugs to clients who went to NDA for rehabilitation and sexually exploiting them.

The case was reported to Police on November 4, 2025. On November 20, Police arrested Mohamed Faseeh, 51, of Florida, Addu Feydhoo in relation to the case.

After the first 15 day remand period expired, he was presented in court on December 6. At that time, the court extended his detention by 30 days. Faseeh was taken to Criminal Court today as this period neared its end, and the court ruled to hold him in custody for an additional 15 days.

It has been reported that Faseeh himself is a former addict who is currently in recovery. As a peer mentor, Faseeh's role was to offer motivation to clients who visited NDA for rehabilitative treatment.

Some NDA staff have previously told Mihaaru News that Faseeh abused political power and sexually exploited female clients who went there for treatment.

Social media speculation claims that Faseeh had taken compromising photos and videos of his victims.
