Police have returned 105 vehicles that were towed from Hulhumale' for illegal parking to their respective owners.
Towing began on the 6th of this month, with police working in collaboration with several government agencies to remove vehicles that had been illegally parked on roads for extended periods.
According to police, a total of 787 vehicles were towed during the operation. These included abandoned vehicles, unregistered vehicles, and vehicles registered outside the Male' Zone.
So far, 105 of the towed vehicles have been handed back to their owners.
Illegal parking continues to be a persistent issue in the Male' area, with enforcement operations carried out periodically to ease congestion and improve road safety.
